Nicole Zheng is investment professional at the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the private sector investment arm of the World Bank. She works with IFC’s Manufacturing, Agribusiness and Service Department. Her role involves the early project development, business incubation and investment of projects in emerging markets particularly in Asia. She has been actively evaluating opportunities in the circular economy of plastics, engaging in market creation dialogues and leveraging private sector resources. Particularly interested to her and her team is through cultivating technological and process innovations to address the challenge of plastic waste leakage in countries with long coastal lines. She is keen to leverage financing to mobilize private sector commitments to plastic circularity.
